Happy Diwali

During Diwali, people wear their finest clothes, illuminate the interior and exterior of their homes with saaki (earthen lamp), diyas and rangoli, perform worship ceremonies of Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and wealth, light fireworks, and partake in family feasts, where mithai (sweets) and gifts are shared.

Milk​ A Diwali feast is incomplete without milk based Kheer and other sweets. Milk is considered pious and offering dishes made with milk to the deity on Diwali is believed to attract good luck.

To seek her blessings, people chant powerful mantras such as the Lakshmi Beej Mantra and the Mahalakshmi Mantra. These mantras are believed to attract money, wealth, peace, and prosperity in life.
